Inaugural Edition – School of Education Led Magazine

"This far the Lord is indeed our Ebenezer..."

This far the Lord is indeed our Ebenezer The School of Education is making great strides, It gives me great pleasure to witness the first edition of Education student magazine at Daystar. As a young School in Daystar University, birthed in July 2025, the School of Education is committed to nurturing teacher trainees who are not only academically grounded, but also equipped with the character, creativity, competence and anchored on Biblical foundation that will shape the future of our schools, serve communities in Kenya and the global spaces. Education is a calling that demands passion, resilience, and a genuine desire to serve. This edition is evidence of turning the lectures into a practice of knowledge creation. It is a demonstration that the classroom activities, school visit, and even group discussion are designed to prepare you to be transformative educator who can use the pen to inspire, entertain, rebuke and innovate in a rapidly shifting education dynamics. This is positive influence that has impact in some small and/or big ways wherever you go. The rapid technological advancement and evolving societal needs, need future teachers who are imaginative, creative and role models to the learners. These articles mark a milestone in pioneering a culture that will evolve into great writers from the School of Education. I salute each of you for your commitment and dedication to your studies, your drive to embrace new ideas, and your focus to personal and professional growth. I also acknowledge the many challenges you balance as students, and I celebrate the strength and determination you continue to show as future teachers. It is my hope that through this magazine, your articles will inspire and motivate other young writers and who will feel an inner push to take the challenge celebrate this space of sharing their reflections and imaginations to others. I pray that this platform will strengthen our sense of oneness in School of Education and Daystar community at large. This is also a reminder that learning extends far beyond lecture halls and wall. I wish you greater insights and success in writing and your academic journey. This candle in your hands will not be put off. May your curiosity, bravity, and open mindedness take you to higher heights. You are the future of writers beyond the borders. By Dr Susan Wandera. HOD Education
