About
DUTA is a student-led publication of Daystar University, Kenya. It is the first student magazine in the School of Education, launched to give voice to future teachers and educators. This platform captures campus life, teaching reflections, creative writing, personal experiences, and insights anchored in Biblical foundations and Christian values. The magazine is open, inclusive, non-profit, and focused on nurturing creativity, passion, and excellence among teacher trainees.
As a young initiative (inaugural edition), it demonstrates how classroom learning, school visits, group discussions, and personal growth translate into meaningful content creation. The editorial team, reviewers, and patrons are committed to quality, encouraging thoughtful contributions from students while fostering a culture of writing, reflection, and innovation in a rapidly changing educational landscape. Contributions include personal stories, reflections on teaching, creative pieces, and ideas that inspire and motivate fellow students and the wider Daystar community.
The magazine welcomes submissions from School of Education students and, in the spirit of collaboration, occasionally from other schools (such as Law). It aims to strengthen community, spark dialogue, celebrate talent, and remind us that learning extends far beyond lecture halls. This platform is poised to grow into a vibrant tradition of student voice, curiosity, and academic excellence at Daystar University.
